Velma Faye Cobb, 78, of Atmore, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2015, in Bay Minette.

She was a secretary, born in Byrneville, Fla., on Oct. 24, 1936.

Her mother, Minnie Roley, preceded her in death.
Survivors are two daughters, Connie Amerson of Bratt, Fla., and Patsy (Travis) Berry of Davisville, Fla.; one sister, Brenda (Onoree) Steele of Davisville; six grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, in Godwin Cemetery, with Bro. Pete Amerson III officiating. Interment will follow in Godwin Cemetery.

The family received friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Keith Berry, Pete Amerson III, Jason Seale, Frank Smarr, Travis Harrison and Wade Amerson.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
