Gustavo Lara Recio, 93, passed away Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, in Pensacola, Fla.
He was a retired farmer, born in Mexico on Jan. 15, 1922, to the late Gustavo Lara and Aurora Recio Perales.

Survivors are three sons, Gustavo (Gloria) Lara and Aaron (Berta) Lara, all of Saltillo, Mexico, José (Elizabeth) of San Antonio, Texas; four daughters, Hilda (Melvin) Hiebert of Walnut Hill, Fla., Irma Lara of Angie, La., Maria Isabel Lara of Saltillo, and Karina (Craig) Graham of Angie.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, from the Walnut Hill Mennonite Church, with Bro. Carlos Koehn and Bro. Ben Giesbrecht officiating. Interment was held in Mexico.

The family received friends, Saturday evening, Jan. 24, at the Walnut Hill Mennonite Church, from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc., was in charge of all arrangements.
