Annie Louise Walton-Foreman

Ms. Annie Louise Walton-Foreman, 83, of Birmingham, formerly of Atmore, exchanged a life on earth with a life eternally on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at St. Vincent’s Hospital – East in Birmingham, with her family by her side.

Ms. Foreman was a native of Atmore and a graduate of Escambia County Training School in 1949. After graduating from high school, she attended Alabama A&M University, where she earned a degree in Education.

Upon graduating from college, Ms. Foreman taught school in Chicago, Ill., retiring in 1982 and relocating back to Atmore to care for her mother.

She was a member of the Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and member of the Missionary Society and Senior Choir.

Those whom she will walk around heaven with include her parents, Henry Pelham Walton and Lula Bonner Walton and a brother, Henry Pelham Walton Jr.

Those who will forever cherish her memories are one daughter, Cecilia (William III) Foreman-Flagg of Fanwood, N.J.; two sons, Henry D. Foreman of Birmingham and Dwain E. Foreman of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Margeream Malone of Dayton, Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 14, at 2:30 p.m. from Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Atmore. Retirement of her remains will be in Stallworth Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Friday, Feb. 13, from 2 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Her body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the funeral service with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC, directing.
