Addison Kate White

Addison Kate White, 3 months old, passed away at home in the arms of her parents this past Sat., April 29, 2017. Addy Kate is the daughter of Clarke and Callie White of Enterprise.

Funeral services will be held this Sat., May 6, 2017, at St. Luke United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Survivors include her parents, Clarke and Callie White; her grandparents, Jimmy and Teresa Addison, Dr. Paul and Ginger Johnson and Mr. Steve and Kim White; her uncles, Matt (Laura) Johnson, Adam (Brittany) Johnson, Brad (Sissi) Addison and Tyler White; her aunt, Layton White; and several great-grandparents, great-aunts, uncles and cousins.

Christopher Henry Lowe

Mr. Christopher Henry Lowe, 37, of Atmore, answered the Master’s call suddenly on Fri., April 28, 2017, in an automobile accident in Atmore.

A native of Tampa, Fla., he was a graduate of Durant High School in Plant City (Hillsborough Co.), Fla.

Upon graduation, he matriculated to Alabama State University in Montgomery and graduated from Reid State Technical College in Evergreen with a degree in barbering. He was active in playing basketball and soccer in his youth, but had a genuine love for culinary arts (food) and music, which led him into being the entrepreneur of BrickHouse BBQ, which opened in 2015 in Atmore. He also oversaw the start of Ritesetup Entertainment. In addition, he was a barber in the city and enjoyed poetry and art.

Those whom he joins in the heavenly mansion are his father, Jimmie Lowe; his grandfather, Elder Charlie C. Quarker; grandparents, John Henry and Teresa Lowe; and great-grandparents, the Rev. Shelly L. Sr. and Annie Bell Quarker.

Those left to cherish his memories and carry on his legacy are his wife, Shemeka Benjamin-Lowe of Atmore; three sons, Tremaine Williams, Jonathan Broderick Lowe and Christopher Pryce Lowe, all of Atmore; his mother, Elizabeth Diane Lowe of Atmore; one brother, Roderick (Tisha) Lowe of Wake Forest, N.C.; one nephew, Jaylan Durham; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 11 a.m. Sat., May 6, 2017, from Mt. Gillead Baptist Church in Atmore (Freemanville Community) with the Rev. Cecil Strawder of Albany, Ga. officiating. Inhumation will be in Fairview Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel LLC directing.

 

HL Crawford

Mr. HL Crawford, 61, passed away on Fri., April 28, 2017 in Atmore.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Repton. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 465. He was a loving father and grandfather; loved his friends, forestry and dozer work was a passion. He was a loving and giving person. He attended the McCullough Christian Center.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Laura Crawford; and three brothers, Douglas Crawford, Andrew Crawford and Eddie Crawford.

He is survived by his three daughters, Jennifer (Donavon) Brown of Walnut Hill, Fla., Laura Crawford Martin of Birmingham and Brenda (Brandon) Weaver of Atmore; seven grandchildren, Tristan, Alayna, Caden, Kayleigh, Nicholas, Landon and Addison; and a loving nephew and niece, Lee Crawford and Sherry Maguire.

Funeral services were held May 2, 2017, from the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Don McDonald officiating.

Burial followed at the Crawford Cemetery.

Visitation was held May 1, 2017, at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Lee Crawford, Ralph Lilly, Wesley Burton, George Johnson, Cody Williams and Austin Rowell.

Honorary pallbearer was Charles Smith.

Margaret Ann Reynolds

Margaret Ann Reynolds, 73, of Perdido, passed away Mon., April 24, 2017, in Atmore.

She was a homemaker, born in Excel on July 11, 1943, to the late Bruce W. and Jessica Mae Davidson Jones.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Jeremy Jay and Patrick Jay; and two brothers, David Jones and Donnie Jones.

Survivors are her husband, Louis Reynolds of Perdido; four sons, Ronald (Martha)

Jay of Bay Minette, Randy (Joyce) Jay of Nokomis, Fla., Roger (Amanda) Jay of

Atmore and Robin “Buck” (Stephanie) Jay of Pensacola, Fla.; two daughters, Linda Jay

(Chris) Johnson of Uriah and Charlene (Larry) Pugh of Atmore; two brothers, Willard Jones of Citronelle and Johnny Jones of Bay Minette; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services were held April 28, 2017, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ed McMillian officiating. Interment followed in Perdido Baptist Cemetery.

Family received friends April 28 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.

Mary Frances Weaver

Mary Frances Weaver, 80, of Atmore, passed away Thurs., April 27, 2017, in Bay Minette.

She was a homemaker, born in Atmore to the late Mack and Mattie Caraway Goodson on May 25, 1936. She was a member of McCullough Christian Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude Weaver; and a son, Kenneth Mack Weaver.

Survivors are three sons, Howard (Jeanette) Weaver, Ricky (Cathy) Weaver, both of Atmore and Rodney (Anna) Weaver of Pace, Fla.; one daughter, Cindy (Allen) Cobb of Uriah; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held April 29, 2017, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Cornellius Phillips officiating. Interment followed in McCullough Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Cameron Cobb, Blake Weaver, Chad McMurphy, Carl Ward, Don Wooten and Scott Dew.

Ronald “Ronnie” Kent Brown

Ronald “Ronnie” Kent Brown, 64, of Atmore, passed away Tues., April 25, 2017, in Atmore.

He was owner of Atmore Pecan Co., born on Jan.3, 1953, in Puerto Rico, to the late Keel and Eloise Brown.

He attended Cross Point Church, was third generation in the pecan industry in which he worked his entire life. He served on the board of directors at Atmore Country Club as tournament chairman for many years. Ronnie loved playing golf, fishing and spending time with his many friends and his dog, Rosie. He was also an avid Alabama football fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Hamilton and Libby Brown, and Talton and Maggie O’Farrell.

Survivors are wife, Sharon B. Brown of Atmore; children, Kent H. (Faren) Brown of

Greenville, S.C., Lindsey Nicole (Eric) Parnell of Saraland and Marylynn Bryant of Montgomery; grandchildren, Rylind Brown, Avery Brown, Eleena Brown, Brinkley Parnell, Abby Parnell and Brant Williams; sisters, Brenda B. (Steve) Gerald of Perdido, Janet B. (Tommy) Strawbridge of Atmore; and brother, James F. (Jennifer) Brown of Atmore.

Services were held April 28, 2017, from Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. J.T. Guyton officiating. Interment followed in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Brandon Strawbridge, Brian Strawbridge, Tanner Gerald, Tyler Brown, Rodney Stewart and David Bell. Honorary pallbearers were members of Atmore Country Club Men’s Golf Association.

Thomas John Earle Jr.

Thomas John Earle Jr., a life-long resident of Blacksher, passed away at home on Sun., April 30, 2017.

A high school graduate of Marion Military Institute, he completed college at Auburn University, where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He returned home to work with his father’s timber business and served on the board of directors for the Baldwin Electric Membership Corporation. He loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Gonzales Earle; his parents, Thomas and Martha Earle; and a sister, Catherine Cortelyou.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Emmons Earle of Blacksher; a daughter, Elizabeth Torrans (Jay) of Mobile; a son, Thomas John Earle III of Cumming, Ga.; two grandchildren whom he adored, Mary Mason Corbett and Lee Corbett; two sisters, Martha Smith (Bill) of Montrose and Agnes Smith (Harry) of Montrose; two nieces and a nephew; and a faithful companion, Biscuit.

A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sat., May 6, 2017, at Montgomery Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Byrd officiating.
