“First of all, I thought our defense played outstanding,” he said. “Hats off to our defensive staff who developed a good defensive plan. The team we played was extremely athletic, and explosive.”

During the win, the Chiefs gave up one score on defense and another on special teams.

“Their quarterback was kind of a running back,” Marshman said. “You could tell he got an offer from Florida. We did a great job tackling him.”
With the victory, the Chiefs advance to play Baker next Fri., Nov. 16, at 7:30 p.m. in Baker in the region semifinal.

Marshman said Trent Peebles, Jauqan Barton, Jayden Jackson, Jaheem Durant and Aunterio Minor had good games offensively. Additionally, the coach said Barton had his best game at receiver as he blocked better tonight as he had seen.

“It was a great team effort,” he said.
