Mr. Willie George Lee Jr., 66, affectionately known as “Junior Lee” and “Gorgeous George,” of Atmore feel asleep in the arms of Jesus on Mon., Dec. 24, 2018, at Atmore Nursing Care Center.

A native of Atmore, Willie Jr. was born to the parentage of Novella Lee and the late Willie George Lee Sr. He attended Escambia County schools. He had worked as a painter at Ingalls Shipyard in Mississippi.

Those left to cherish memories of his life are his son, Akavia (Coco Michelle) Lee of Moss Point, Miss.; his mother, Novella Lee Johnson of Atmore; siblings, Alexander (Dora) McMillan, Gloria J. Wright, and Linda Lee, all of Atmore, Debbie Ann Jacob and Glenda (Kenneth) Brown of Houston, Texas, and Willie Clarence Smith of Mobile; three grandsons; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service was held on Dec. 29, 2018 at Mt. Gillead Baptist Church in Atmore (Freemanville Community) with the Rev. Gary Bryant as pastor and Pastor Darlene McMillan as eulogist.

Inhumation was in Pierce Rabb and Montgomery Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel LLC directing.
