URIAH – Margaret Nichols, 68, of Uriah died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011 at her residence.

A native of Escambia County, Margaret had resided in Monroe County for 42 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Uriah and retired from Monroe County Hospital where she worked as a clerk.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Nichols of Uriah; sons, Jeff (Myra) Nichols of Uriah and Johnny Nichols of Red Level; a brother, Ralph Norris (Hilda) Jones of Tampa, Fla.; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Services were held at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Uriah with the Rev. Mark Whittington officiating. Burial followed in the Uriah Cemetery.
