Santa Claus is coming to town … this Saturday.
Santa will be in town all day, beginning with a breakfast Saturday at 9 a.m. with area children at the Watson cabin in Heritage Park.
He will also be available for pictures from 9:30 to 11 a.m..
The cost for breakfast and a photo is $8.
The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade will be held at twilight, and Santa will be riding along in the United Bank float.
Organizers changed the parade time from the traditional afternoon to early evening to take advantage of the Christmas lights downtown.
The theme of this year's parade is "Christmas Past, Present and Future."
The parade will include at least two bands, eight floats and a number of walking characters including clowns and Santa's elves.
Judging for floats will take place during the parade with a first-place prize of $100, second-place prize of $75 and third-place prize of $50.
The Twilight Christmas Parade will begin at Atmore City Hall at 5 p.m. and end at Escambia County High School.
Participants are asked to be at city hall at 3:30 p.m.
If the parade is rained out, it will not be rescheduled.
