Lillie Bell Hines
Mrs. Lillie Bell Hines, 70, died Monday, Jan.10,2000, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola.
Mrs. Hines was a member of Church of God Pillar Ground and Truth. She worked in private homes as a home sitter and was a former part-owner of Club LaSabra in Atmore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jenny and Jake Gratton and two sons, Ernest and Calvin Hines.
Mrs. Hines is survived by her husband, Clausell "Bud" Hines of Atmore; four daughters, Lillie Taylor of Largo, Md., Thelma Grant and her husband, Sam, of Atmore, Jennie Rudolph and her husband, Terry, of Pensacola and Vivian WIlliams and her husband, Davie, of Huntsville; four sons, Jessie Gratton and Angelo Rudolph, both of Atmore, Ollie Rudolph and his wife, Barbara, of Ridgeville, S.C. and Smith Rudolph and his wife, Janice, of Springfield, Va.; a sister, Ida Bell Sanders and her husband, John, of Atmore; 27 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 15 at 1 p.m. at Gaines Chapel AME Church in Atmore with Elder Eddie Lee Banke, pastor of Church of God Pillar Ground and Truth, officiating. Burial was at Stallworth Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons.
Turner Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Aubrey George Entrekin
Mr. Aubrey George Entrekin, 76, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000, at a Pensacola Hospital.
Mr. Entrekin was a resident of Century for the past 70 years and attended the Beulah Chapel Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Entrekin of Century; two daughters, Susan Steadham and her husband, Dale, of Century and Deborah Yuhasz and her husband, Andrew, of Molino; a brother, Donald Entrekin of Brewton; four grandchildren, Corissa Diamond and her husband, Chad of Jay, Kimberly Steadham and Gregory Steadham, both of Century and Amy Yuhasz of Molino and two great-grandchildren, Colby and Cade Diamond of Jay.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Shelton Kindig and the Rev. Louie Pettis officiating.
Active pallbearers were Mike Burkett, Randy Burkett, Danny Everette, Terry Tuberville, Randy Everette and Tony Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Huskey, Winford Johnson and Floyd Garrison
Mr. Winfred Roy "Peanut" Killam, 71, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at a Pensacola hospital.
Mr. Killam had been a lifetime resident of Century, FL and a member of Abundant Life Church.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine G. Killam of Bratt, FL; two sons, Gavin Roy and Barbara Killam of Tuscaloosa, AL and Terry Dale and Brenda Killam of Century, FL; two daughters, Gleda K. and Jerry McElhaney of Bratt, FL and Tara K. and Burton Wiggins of Bratt, FL; two brothers, Willard and Mildred Killam of Flomaton and Alton and Muriel Killam of Bratt, FL; a sister, Ruth Martin of Atmore; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Dale, Tiffany, Keri, Chris, Sara, Chad, Wesley, and Kyle; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Joe Lee, the Rev. Kevin Flannagan, and the Rev. Gene Hudson officiating.
Burial followed at Godwin Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Craig Richardson, Forrest Sutton III, James Sutton, Damon Ward, Donnie Henry, and Eric Johnson.
Edgar Rackard
Reverend Edgar Rackard, 81, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, in Mobile. The Rev. Rackard was retired from Alabama Dry Dock and Ship Building and was a member of New Home Church and minister of United Pentecostal Holiness Organization.
He is survived by his wife, Ruthie Mae Rackard of Atmore; two sons, Lonnie Lee and his wife, Carolyn, of Atmore and Eugene Rackard and his wife, Karen, of Chilly, Fla.; five daughters, Hazel Rolin and her husband, Ardis, Ruby Flurnoy, Dorothy McGhee and her husband, Joe Frank and Glenda Carlton, all of Atmore, and Mary Cordes and her husband , Gary, of Jasper; a brother, Bill Rackard of Atmore; three sisters, Lois Amos of Monroeville, Warnice Anderson of Pensacola and Ina Colbert of Uriah; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Lewis and Elder Gary Cordes officiating. Burial was at New Home Cemetery,
Active pallbearers were his grandchildren Eddie Rolin, Larry Flurnoy, Kendall McGhee, Chet McGhee, Jason Rackard, Jeremy Rackard, Jacob Carlton, Jard Carlton and Jonathan Rackard. Honorary pallbearers were John Reed, Ronald Baggett, Bro. Wasdin, the Rev. Fred Gibbs, Donnie Wasdin and Ardis Rolin.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
