Alneta Hunt
Mrs. Alneta Hunt, 65, died Saturday, March 25, 2000, in Davisville.
Mrs. Hunt was a member of Bratt First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Mitchell Hunt Sr.
Mrs. Hunt is survived by three sons, Paul M. Hunt Jr. and his wife, Debby, of Eustis, Fla., Richard Hunt and his wife, Dee, and Terry Hunt and his wife, Vicki, all of Atmore; a daughter, Sheila M. Hunt Cook of Davisville; a sister, Sheila Ann Wilson of Lafayette, Ala. and five grandchildren Robert Mitchell Hunt and Jeffrey Paul Hunt, both of Eustis, Rachel Cook and Richard Allen Cook Jr., both of Davisville and Richard P. Hunt of Atmore.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 29 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jessie Bailey officiating.
Burial will be at Pine Barren Cemetery in Davisville.
Pallbearers will be Jim McMorris, Jamie Black, Jackie Watson, Darrin Lindsey, Dale Watson and Rodger Caraway.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pine Barren Cemetery fund.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
William Albert Stabler
Mr. William Albert Stabler, 84, of Franklin, died Monday, March 27, 2000, at Monroe County Hospital.
Mr. Stabler was a native of Monroe County and a lifelong resident of Franklin. He had worked as an equipment operator for the Monroe County Road Department.
Mr. Stabler was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mary Stabler.
He is survived by two sons, Bud Stabler of Atmore and Robert Stabler of Franklin; two daughters, Betty Counselman and Ann McKinley both of Franklin; one brother, George Stabler of Franklin; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Monroeville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 30 at 2 p.m. at Faith Chapel Assembly of God Church in Franklin with Sister Mary Watford Stabler and Rev. Sanford Cobb and the Rev. William Bodiford officiating.
Burial will follow at Bryant Cemetery.
Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Grover Watson
Mr. Grover Watson, 87, died Sunday, March 26, 2000, at his residence.
Mr. Watson was a native of Snow Hill in Monroe County and a member of Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two wives, both named Mary Watson.
Mr. Watson is survived by four daughters, Maude Thomas and Annise Smith, both of Atmore, Linda Richardson of Rancho Cuamonga, Calif. and Jacqueline Watson of Hamden, Conn.; five sons, Claude Watson and Claude Thompson, both of Atmore, Edd Watson of Mobile, Floyd Watson of Walnut Hill and Ed Watson of Shreveport, La.; a sister, Minnie Mae Robertson of Shreveport and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, March 31 from 1 to 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1 at 2 p.m. at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with Dr. A. L. Durant officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Stallworth Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Mamie J. Williams
Miss Mamie J. Williams, 99, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at Atmore Community Hospital. Miss Williams was a resident of Atmore and native of Monroe County.
Miss Williams was a retired housekeeper and member of Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters and brothers.
She is survived by four nieces, Elizabeth Moore of Atmore, Dessie Rogers and her husband, J.B., of Mobile, Ruth Langford and her husband, William, of Houston, Texas and Florida Williams of Birmingham; two nephews, Isreal McMillian of Atmore and Leo Davis and his wife, Cleo, of Mobile and a sister-in-law, Barnetta Williams of Atmore.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel with Bishop Willie L. Williams officiating.
Burial will be at Lucius Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
