To the Editor:
Mr. Gehman, since you are now seeking re-election to the Atmore City Council, you stated that you wanted to expand the city limits out to I-65.
I operate a business outside the city limits, but within the police jurisdiction.
I have city water, for which I am billed. BFI picks up my garbage, which I pay for. I buy a city Business License and collect sales tax, but what service do I get from that?
The police routinely stop people, but when I call and need assistance, I am told to call the county's Sheriff Dept. I may get a response and I may not.
So what Mr. Gehman, can you promise someone outside the city limits that we are already not getting?
