Mrs. Berneda Sharlett Parker Ward, 33, died Monday, July 24, 2000.
Mrs. Ward was a member of Lighthouse Apostolic Holiness Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, was in the choir, on the usher board and Missionary board. She has been a member of Lighthouse Apostolic Holiness Temple in Grand Bay for the past 10 years.
She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Deacon Archie S. Ward of Irvington; four daughters, Sandy, Arjarie, Bernita and Brittanie, all of Irvington; three sons, Aaron, Archie Jr. and Ajared, all of Irvington; her mother, Minnie Lee Parker of Atmore; seven sisters, Annie Milton and her husband, Willie, Jennifer Renee Parker, Zola Grissette and her husband, Elder Robert Grisette Sr.; Elizabeth English, Juanita Slater, Judy Dobbs and Sandra White and her husband, Willie, all of Atmore; five brothers, Ronnie Parker and his wife, Linda, of Penn., Ollie Frye Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., Earl Frye of Portland, Ore., Clarence Frye of Flomaton and Ray Charles Jones of Miss.; her mother-in-law, Iola Ward of Irvington; Sisters-in-law, Sylvia Allen and her husband Ray, Hilda Hoskins, Marilynn Royal, all of Irvington, Kaffy Griffen of Brand Bay; brothers-in-law Minister Norvell Ward and his wife, Jane, of Brundidge, Ala., Kelvin Ward and his wife, Ruby, of Theodore, Chris Ward of Irvington and Johnnie Banks of Bayou La Batre; a devoted friend, Mr. Willie Jackson of Atmore and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends of Lighthouse Churches, Inc.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 29 at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Apolostic Holiness Temple in Grand Bay with Apostle Floyd E. Nelson, D.D. officiating.
Burial was at Old Fellow Cemetery in Bayou La Batre.
