Bernard Eugene "Bunk" Vickery

Mr. Bernard Eugene "Bunk" Vickery, 88, of Atmore, died Thursday, August 10, 2000, in a local hospital.
Mr. Vickery was a retired school bus driver with Escambia County School System and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman C. and Maggie Lomax Vickery, and his wife, Daisy Myrtle Vickery.
He is survived by three sons, Weldon Vickery and his wife, Kay, of Canoe, Lawrence Vickery and his wife, Levane, of Molino and Doug Vickery of Atmore; three daughters, Nell Owens and her husband, Alvin, Shirley Fayard and her husband, Curtis, and Ann Davis and her husband, Larry, all of Atmore; a brother, Orval Vickery of Mobile; three sisters, Eltra Etheridge and Murvel Helton, both of Atmore, and Ellie Wiggins of Lillian; 14 grandchildren, Todd Vickery, Danny Vickery, Scott Robinson, Kevin Vickery, Carol Rodgers, Greg Tuberville, Mike Fayard, Bryan Fayard, Doug Vickery Jr., Wesley Davis, Steve Davis, Shelly Salter, Robin Chastang and Lenny Brash and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 13 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bill Watts, Bro. Byrd Mapoles and Bro. Don Davis officiating.
Pall bearers will be grandchildren.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
