Mrs. Mamie Ruth Moye, 84, of Atmore, Ala., died Tuesday, August 15, 2000, in a Mobile Hospital.
Mrs. Moye was retired from the Escambia County Middle School Cafeteria.
She was a member of the Homemakers Garden Club, Retired Teachers Association of Escambia County and Moyeville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Moye; parents, John H. and Rosa Meads Houlton and a brother Henry L. Houlton.
Mrs. Moye is survived by a brother, Bobby Houlton of New Braunfels, Texas; two sisters, Ruby H. Mellors of Briston, Penn. and Doris Sullivan of Montgomery; two sisters-in-law, Amy Seals of Atmore and Bertha Burkette of Mobile.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, August 17, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at Atmore Memorial Chapel with Pastor Robert Knowles and Pastor Evon Ingram officiating.
Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Wayne Nall, Lee Vern Seale, Patrick Sullivan, J. C. Moye, Harvey Burkette and Michael Sullivan.
