Mrs. Lanie Jordan Sims, 100, died Wednesday, August 23, 2000, at Atmore Nursing Care Center.
Mrs. Sims was a member of Jones Street True Pentacostal Holiness Church where she was a member of the senior choir and was an active member of Atmore Concerned Christian Senior Citizens.
She was preceded in death by six children.
She is survived by four sons, Albert Sims and his wife, Dorothy and Floyd Sims and his wife Carol Bell, all of Birmingham, James Sims and his wife, Josie, of Uniondale, N.Y., and Willie Sims and his wife, Rosetta, of Atmore; three daughters, Roxie Hartley and her husband, Jessie, Christine Kyles and her husband, A. C. and Orie D. Kyles and her husband, James, all of Atmore; three sisters, Jessie Harris and Anna Robbins, both of Century and Evelyn Gamber of Detroit, Mich.; a brother, Lamon Jordan of Century; 74 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; special friend Mr. Jim Mallard and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 29 at 2 p.m. at Jones Street True Pentecostal Holiness Church with Bishop Willie L. Williams and Elder Leroy Knight Sr. officiating.
Robinson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
