Byron Higdon

Mr. Byron Higdon, 73, died Saturday, September 2, 2000, at his residence.
He was a native of Little River and a resident of Atmore. Mr. Higdon was a U. S. Navy veteran of W.W. II and a partner of Higdon and Hardy Sheet Metal, Heating and Air Conditioning. He was a member and Deacon of Judson Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Erma Dockens Higdon, of Atmore; two daughters, Emily Allen and her husband, James, of Atmore and Marty Beeman and her husband, Jack, of Milton; two sisters, Martha Nicholas of Nashville, Tenn. and Florence Hardy of Atmore; a granddaughter, Heather Reeves; four step grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 5 at 2 p.m. at Judson Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Dukes officiating.
Burial was at Judson Creek Indian Cemetery.
Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton was in charge of arrangements.
