Mr. Jonas Montgomery Jr, 65, died Monday, July 31, 2000.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jonas Montgomery Sr., a daughter, Bernida Montgomery and a brother, Leslie Montgomery.
Mr. Montgomery is survived by his wife, Henrietta Montgomery of Pensacola; two daughters, Tammie Montgomery and Debra Montgomery, both of Pensacola; his mother, Rosetta Montgomery of Atmore; two sisters, Dora McMillian and her husband, Elliott and Rose Lee Ephrim, and her husband, Dave, all of Atmore; a brother, Joseph Montgomery of Prichard; four aunts, Zadie Andrews of Pensacola, Cira Jones of N.C., Kellie Reed of Jacksonville, Fla. and Mary Lou Ruffin of Atmore; three uncles, Ivory Montgomery and his wife, Mildred, of Belleve, Ala., Dennis Montgomery and his wife, Virginia, of Burnt Corn and Jimmy Montgomery and his wife, Cherrie Bell, of Atmore; sisters and brothers in-law, Oziel Etheridge and his wife, Linda, Ellinor Smith and her husband, Ruben, Charles Etheridge and his wife, Beverly and David Etheridge, all of Pensacola, Ora Bettis and her husband, Johnny and Harry Etheridge, all of Havelock, N.C.; two grandchildren, Amiya and Naiya; special friend, Herbert Payne of Atmore and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 5 at 10 a.m. at Englewood Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Watson Sr. officiating.
Pall bearers were family and friends.
Burial was at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Junior Funeral Home of Pensacola was in charge of arrangements.
