Mrs. Nadine Silcox Booker, 61, died Friday, September 15, 2000.
Mrs. Booker was a resident of Excel. She was a nurse and member of Monroeville First Assembly Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Nannie Silcox; her sister, Gloria Solomon and two brothers, Barto Silcox and Earsle Silcox.
Mrs. Booker is survived by her son, Danny Brooks and his wife, Janice, of Atmore; her daughter, Brenda Ikner and her husband, Joe, of Monroeville; three sisters, Kathleen Ledkins of Monroeville and Bernice Ward and Mary Ann Kervin, both of Excel; four grandchildren, Frankie Brooks, Freddie Brooks, Nicholas Ikner and Shawn Ikner and a great-grandchild, Little Frankie Brooks.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 18 at 2 p.m. at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Ledkins and the Rev. Shawn Mizzel officiating.
Burial was at Old Sowell Field Cemetery in Goodway.
Monroe Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
