A tip led to the arrest of William Dewayne Grantham by Hanahan police in South Carolina.
Escambia County Sheriff Timothy A. Hawsey said Grantham was wanted for five counts of first-degree sodomy, three counts of second-degree sodomy and three counts of second-degree sexual abuse involving a minor child.
While organizing searches in Escambia County near the Brooklyn Community and Conecuh County line, the Escambia County Sheriff's Department notified other law enforcement agencies about the warrants for Grantham's arrest.
Grantham is currently being held in the Berkely County (S.C.) Detention Center and has waived extradition in South Carolina.
He will be transported back to Escambia County this week and a bond hearing will be held the first of next week.
