Mrs. Gladys Johnson Amos, 78, died Saturday, November 25, 2000, in Pensacola.
She was a resident of Atmore and served the community and a caregiver.
Mrs. Amos was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Amos.
She is survived by five sons, Clifford Amos and James O'Neal Amos, both of Atmore, Carlton Amos of Bay Minette, Al Will Amos of McDavid and Al Thomas Amos of McCullough; three daughters, Carolyn Jackson and Polly Green, both of Atmore and Bernice Seals of McDavid; a brother, Wade Johnson of Perdido, a sister, Estell Cox of Atmore; a son-in-law, Jimmy Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Pam Amos, a sister-in-law, Margaret Johnson; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 28 at 10 a.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was at Sullivan Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Michael Dean, O'Neal Jackson, Steven Jackson, Robin Jackson, Joe Pace and Bodie Tullis. Honorary pallbearers were Paul Rolin and Waylon Pace.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
