The Escambia Academy Cougars came away with a big win against Greenville Academy Friday night as they rolled to a 73-21 victory.
The Cougars defense and offense was running on all cylinders during the early periods of the contest as they held the Tornados to only three points in the first half.
EA took a 27-3 lead during the first period and then held Greenville Academy scoreless in the second period, taking a 54-3 lead. By the end of three, the Cougars held a 73-9 advantage.
Head coach Chad Prewett said it was obvious very early that his team would have to slow things down against the struggling Tornados.
For EA, all ten players got time on the floor and each scored at least one time. Leading scorer in the game was Justin Shirley who scored all 18 of his points during the first half as he was benched after the half. David Daniel scored 17 points for the Cougars and Mitchell Adams finished with 12 points.
The Cougars' record now stands at 6-4 overall with a 1-0 record in area play.
