Mrs. Dorothy McCoy McMullen, 85, of Atmore, died Saturday, January 20, 2001, at her residence.
She was a retired elementary school teacher from Ernest Ward School System. Mrs. McMullen was a life long member of First United Methodist church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Dewitt and Lucretia Corinne Jowers McCoy; her husband, James A. McMullen and a son, DeWitt Bradford McMullen.
Mrs. McMullen is survived by two daughters; Ann M. Nelson of Bay Minette and Patricia Y. Gibbs and her husband, Jerry, of Pensacola; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 21 at 3 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Brannon officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Dr .B.C.Maxwell, John Garrard, Tom Kelly, Rein Bodtke, George VanPelt, and Jim VanPelt
