Mrs. Erie Hall Meyer, 93, died Monday, February 19, 2001.
Mrs. Meyer was a native of McCullough and long time resident of Gulf Shores.
She graduated from Escambia County High School in Atmore and Judson College in Marion. She taught history in various Alabama public schools until 1945, when she began her career in real estate. She married George C. Meyer in 1954 and together they helped to develop Gulf Shores, Alabama. She was a member of St. Andrew by the Sea Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband George C. Meyer and her parents, Charles William and Lena Wicker Hall.
Mrs. Meyer is survived by her sister. Myrtle Hall Ward; her nephew, Joseph Wade Ward, Sr. and his wife Pat; great nephews, Joseph Ward Jr. and Stephen Charles Ward; great nieces, Kimberly Ann Ward and Michelle Leigh Ward, four great-great nephews, Christopher Ward, Cody Charles Rhodes, Hunter Morris and Austin Morris; three great-great nieces, Brandy Ann Rhodes, Kalyn Elise Ward and Victoria Rose Ward and one great-great-great niece, Bella Jasmine Ward.
The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 21 at Pine Rest Funeral Home Chapel. Services will follow at 3 p.m.
