Mrs. Muriel Marie Baker Milstead Mooney, 72, of Davisville died Thursday, February 1, 2001 at her residence.
Mrs. Mooney was retired after 17 1/2 years at Southland Telephone Company. After which she did weddings,fFunerals, church, and other flower arrangements. She also worked with the Senior Citizens at the Davisville School doing crafts, especially quilting. She was a member of the Church of The Living God in Atmore since it was established.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.B. "Buddie" Milstead, her parents and many friends and loved ones.
Mrs. Mooney is survived by two daughters, Saundra Lynn Hanks and her husband, Homer Lee, of Davisville and Suzanne Rigby and her husband, Ronnie, of McDavid; a sister, Letha Carnley and her husband, Shortie; four grandchildren, Michelle Kerns and her husband, Bob, Dianna Wiggins and her husband, Jody, Stephen Rigby and his wife, Samantha and Adam Rigby and his wife, Marti Leigh; nine great-grandchildren, Nychole, Jesse, David, Brandon, Bethany, Iva, Grady, Robert Mitchell and Robert and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 3 at 10 a.m. at Church of The Living God with Bro. Earl Harrison and sister Letha Carnley officiating.
Burial was at Pine Barren Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Don "Bud" Graham, Edward Holland, Jerry Henderson, Ronnie Kirby, Danny Graham, Steve Catches, Jimmy Graham, Lavaughn Graham and Mike Holland.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
