Mrs. Melissa Ann Morgan Phillips, 32, of Gardendale, Ala, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham.
She was a native of Jefferson City, Tenn., a former resident of Tibbie, Ala., a member of Tibbie Baptist Church and she attended Gardendale First Baptist Church where she was a member of the ladies Bible study group. She was employed at Kay Jewelers.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by her father, the Rev. John C. Morgan of Tibbie; her mother, Pat R. Morgan of Tibbie; her husband, Jonathon Phillips of Gardendale; a brother, John A. Morgan of Jackson; her grandparents, Irma Rylee of Satsuma, Rachel Morgan of Flintstone, Ga. Rebecca Phillips of Atmore, Joe Phillips of Atmore and Lenora S. Sellers of Atmore.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14 at 1 p.m. at Tibbie Baptist Church with the Rev. John Smith and the Rev. Ron Butler officiating.
Burial will be at Tibbie Baptist Church Cemetery. Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom is in charge of arrangements.
