Mr. Oliver Berry Edgar, 90, of Century died Monday, March 12, 2001.
He was born in Covington County on January 6, 1911 to the late William Moses and Martha Adell Mauldin Edgar. He was retired from Edgar Business Machines where he worked in sales. He was a member of the Pine Barren Baptist Church.
He is preceeded in death by two grandchildren.
Survivors are his wife, Dollie Albritton Edgar of Century; two sons, Billy J. Edgar and wife, Eunice of Atmore, Bobby R. Edgar and wife, Linda of Castleberry; three daughters, Dot E. Walley and husband Stephen of Daphne, June Tkatch and husband, Glenn of Theodore, Ala. and Brenda E. Pruitt and husband Wayne of Atmore; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday, March 15, 2001, at 10:30 a.m. at Johnson Quimby Funeral Home with Brother Charles Rice and Brother Randy Albritton officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Billy James Edgar, Jr., William Oliver Edgar, Michael Davis Edgar, Bobby Gregory Edgar, James Harold Madison, Jr., Jason Bryan Madison, Joshua Shane Clark and Kent Hamilton Brown.
Family will receive friends Wednesday evening March 14, 2001 at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
