Mrs. Agnes Elizabeth Lynam, 66, of Atmore died Monday, March 19, 2001, in Atmore.
She was a native of Monroeville and was retired from Vanity Fair Mills as a cutter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hillary and Lizzie Kilpartick Fails; her husband, Sidney Lee Lynam, two sons, Sidney Lee Lynam Jr. and John Lynam; a daughter, Brenda Brown; three grandsons, Scott Brown, William Lynam and Joseph McBride; two sisters, Mattie Lou Helton and Fannie Wasdin; four brothers, Cecil Fails, Chester Fails, John Fails and Luke Fails and a son-in-law,Troy McKenzie.
Mrs. Lynam is survived by three daughters, Diane Hadley and her husband, Charles, Tammy McKenzie and Shane Powell and Brandy Lynam and Mark Smith, all of Atmore; a daughter-in-law, Charlene Lynam and James Bulkhault of Frisco City; a son-in-law, Larry Brown Sr. of Frisco City; three brothers, Oscar Fails and Billy Mack Fails, both of Monroeville and Hillery Earl Fails of Atmore; 13 grandchildren, Angela McBride, Rachel McBride, Stephen McKenzie, Micheal McKenzie, Lil Shane Powell, Larry Brown, Keith Brown, Derrick Brown, Timothy Hayes Jr., Tiffany Smith, James Smith Jr., Sidney Nathan Lynam, and Tersa Ann Bulkhault and five great-grandchildren, Dillon Barton, Kayla Garner, Jessica Brown, Alexis Brown and William Levi Brown.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 21 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Wasden and Bro. Fred Gibbs officiating.
Burial was at Mexia Baptist Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Larry Brown Jr., Stephen McKenzie, Keith Brown, Larry Ramer, Jamie Ramer and David Caaker. Honorary pallbearers were Harold Allen and Shane Powell.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
