Mrs. Magnolia Pearson, 87, died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at Euclid Hospital in Euclid, Ohio.
She was a native of Repton and a past resident of Century. She was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Deacon Wives Ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Stewart and Lorain Lett-Stewart; her husband, Deacon John H. Pearson and a grandson, James Stewart.
Mrs. Pearson is survived by a daughter, Mildred Dailey of Cleveland, Ohio; a son, Johnny Durant of Cleveland; her step-mother, Pearl Stewart of Pensacola; four grandchildren, Dolly Marie Dailey, Patricia Lee Dailey, Angie Durant and Melissa Durant, all of Cleveland; five great-grandchildren, Isom Lee Patterson, James Dailey III, Erika P. Dailey, Brian Durant and Byron Durant, all of Cleveland; a niece, Elnora Stewart and her husband, Howard, of Milwaukee, Wis.; a nephew, Luke Earl Stewart of Milwaukee; a goddaughter, Eula Mae Gambrell of Pensacola and a godson, Earvin Tucker of Pensacola.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 24 at 1 p.m. at First Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Century with Pastor Freddie L. Stallworth officiating.
Burial was at Mt. Rose Cemetery in Repton.
Active pallbearers were her grandsons, Ison Lee, James Dailey, Darryl Rankin, Deacon Lloyd Salvage, Charles Spencer and Charlie Spencer.
Honorary pallbearers were Deacon Minister Willie C. Cook, Bro. Frank C. Cook, Bro. Washington Williams and Bro. Thomas Miles.
Robinson Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
