EA track team travels to meets

By Staff
The Escambia Academy Cougars track team was busy last week as they traveled to participate in two meets.
The first meet was in Selma where the Cougars competed against 15 schools on a day with a high temperature of 43 degrees and rain. Due to the weather, the meet was cut short and all field events and hurdle races were canceled. On Thursday, the Cougars participated in a six-team meet at Northview High School. At this meet, each team member or relay team posted a best time or distance for the season. The Cougars next meet will be on April 5 at Jay High School. Matt Ash, a member of EA's track team, had a good day in the Mobile's Azalea Trail Run. He finished in third place in his age division. Five EA track members competed in the run.
