To the editor:
I would like to express my thanks to students, their families, friends and the faculty at Huxford Elementary School for their support with our St. Jude Children's Hospital Mathathon (math marathon). Our school raised $4,127.95. That's awesome and we are indeed very proud of this.
I have two personal reasons for promoting St. Jude Children's Hospital. This hospital has benefited several of my former students who have been diagnosed with cancer. Who is to know whom they will help tomorrow! Also, I am a cancer survivor, and I feel sure that any research done at this children's hospital will benefit us all.
A very special thank you to Linda Mills who helps me with this drive every year. She motivates the children and really helps us all to see the need to give to this worthy cause.
Again, thank you, students, for all you have done for St. Jude Children's Hospital.
