Roland Brocton Dailey

Mr. Roland Brocton Dailey, 58, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at Atmore Community Hospital.
He was a native of Greensboro, N. C. and a resident of Atmore most of his life. He was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church and had worked in various church organizations. He worked for the City of Atmore's Police Department for 23 years as a radio dispatcher and as a mechanic and maintenance worker. He also worked for the Escambia County (AL) Board of Education for over 20 years as a school bus driver and custodial worker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eddie Mae Betts Dailey and his parents Carl Dailey and Ruth McCants.
Mr. Dailey is survived by four daughters, Ruby J. Bush, Celestine M. Dailey, Theresa Dailey and Donna R. Dailey, all of Atmore; step-mother, Ruth B. Dailey of Greensboro; step-sister, Carla Ruth Dailey of Greensboro; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 29 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel. There will be a family hour from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ebenezer Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 30 at 2 p.m. at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with the Rev. Moses Clark, pastor of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, officiating. The body will be in repose one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Stallworth Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Turner Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
