Mrs. Martha Burnett (Stabler) Cooper, age 48, born in Uriah, Ala. and a resident of Rabun, Ala., died Saturday, March 31, 2001 at her residence. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Annie Stabler and a brother, James Elbert Stabler.
Mrs. Cooper is survived b y her husband, Tommy Cooper of Rabun; three sons, Terry Wayne Newsome and his wife Rebecca, of Perdido, Michael L. Newsome and his wife Lynissa of Bay Minette and Christopher L. Newsome and his wife Vivian of Bay Minette; one stepson, Thomas R. Cooper of Rabun; one stepdaughter, Tommy C. Wessler of Rabun, one brother, Andrew Stabler of Atmore; three sisters, Catherine Wood of Channelview, Texas, Lynda Floyd of Laurel, Miss., and Debbie MCurdy of Atmore; four grandchildren; five step-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 4, 2001 from 6:00 p.m. until service time at New Life Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2001 at ll:00 a.m. at the New Life Baptist Church with Reverend Hunter Hall officiating. Interment will follow at New Life Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tony Lambeth, Jason Hadley, Bobby Lee Stabler, Wade Cooper, Travis Wessler and Ronnie Paul.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette, Alabama.
