Mary Louise Williams Porter, 93, of Selma, died Saturday, April 21, 2001, at a local hospital.
Porter was a house mother at Methodist Children's Home, a member of Church Street United Methodist Church and a member of the Pilot Club in Atmore.
She was preceded in death by her husband. J. G. Porter Sr.
Porter is survived by a son. J. Grant Porter Jr. and his wife, Ruth, of Selma; a daughter, Mary Ann Stroud and her husband, Oxford, of Auburn; a brother-in-law, J. P. White of Vicksburo, Miss.; a sister-in-law, Grace Williams of Birmingham; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 23 at 10 a.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Alvin Harbour officiating.
Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery.
Lawrence Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
