A list of street paving projects was revised at a workshop meeting by the members of the Escambia County Commission on Monday.
Due to costs that exceeded estimates for current and recently completed projects the County Commission Chairman Larry White recommended postponing work on Upper Creek Road.
After a lengthy discussion, the county commissioners approved the following street projects:
two-tenths of a mile of New Fish Pond Road;
two-tenths of a mile of Underwood Drive;
one-tenth of a mile of Shirley Lane;
three-tenths of a mile of Murphy Park Drive;
two-tenths of a mile of Still Road;
three-tenths of a mile of Spears Circle;
three-tenths of a mile of Boykin Road;
one-tenth of a mile of Brazile Lane;
one-tenth of a mile of Cypress Court;
patchwork on Mason Mill Pond Road;
patchwork on Wildfork Road;
leveling two places on Ridge Road and
two culverts on Upper Creek Road.
White said Upper Creek Road should be considered when the commission meets to discuss its next list road projects. County Commissioner Wiley Tait (?) asked that Hickory Head Road and School House Road also be considered for the next list of projects.
