Mrs. Alma Willie Grimes, 95, of Walnut Hill died Thursday, May 17, 2001, in Pensacola.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Grimes; her parents, Willie Richard and Nettie Bell Ziglar; four brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Grimes is survived by a son, Lawrence Grimes and his wife, Chesteen, of Walnut Hill; a daughter, Shirley Craig and her husband, Lawrence, of Bloomington, Ill.; two sisters, Amanda Godwin and Lillie Bell Milstead, both of Oak Grove; six grandchildren, Julie Craig Grant, Dottie Ann Grimes Davis, Marian F. Vaughn, Kenneth M. Tyson, James R. Tyson and Robert E. Tyson; 15 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 20 at 3 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Roy Chewning and Larry Gilley officiating.
Burial was at Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Terry Ziglar, W.R. Ziglar, Clark Ziglar, Autrey Ziglar, Edward Godwin, and Byron Vaughn.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
