Mrs. Daisy Mae Henderson, 87, died Thursday, May 24, 2001, at Cross Creek Nursing Home in Pensacola.
Mrs. Henderson was a member of Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church. For many years she did gardening for Atmore families and businesses.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, J. T. Gandy, Tobie Gandy and Greedy Gandy; two daughters, Annie Jemison and Dorothy Davis; a grandson, George Henderson; three sisters, Leola Stephens, Lucille Cheeseborough and Febie Dixon and her husband, David L. Henderson.
Mrs. Henderson is survived by two sisters, Gussie Lavender of Atmore and Bessie Powers of Detroit, Mich.; five grandchildren, Larry Henderson, Evelyn Henderson and Sandra Jemison, all of Detroit; Leon Henderson of Atmore and Dianne Millender of Pensacola; 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 1 at 2 p.m. at Greater Mt. Triumph Baptist Church with Dr. A. L. Durant Sr. officiating.
Burial was at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were friends of the family.
Turner Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
