Braves handle Tigers, 12-5

The Atmore Insurance Braves held hot bats on May 24 as they outslugged the Rotary Club Tigers to earn a 12-5 victory in Atmore's Major League youth baseball.
Tim Bright led the Braves' charge with three runs. Jeremy George, Clint Lassiter and Ben Hess scored two runs each. Thomas Wolfe, Tristen Neal and Skyler Peacock also scored.
Trent Freeman led the Tigers with two runs. Ben Nemeth, A.J. Beachy, Blake Walker, Dontavious Johnson and Mitchell Brown scored one run each.
Lassiter and Wolfe combined on the mound for the Braves.
Corey Flowers and Freeman pitched for the Tigers.
Cardinals 7, Braves 2
The Atmore Insurance Braves' bats were silenced by the Lions Club Cardinals, 7-2, on May 28.
Leading the Cardinals offensively were Tyler Brown and Cody Norton with two runs each. Justin Rolin, Stephen Yoder and M.J. White also scored.
Clint Lassiter and Tim Bright scored the only runs for the Braves.
Brown pitched a complete game and earned the victory for the Cards.
Anthony Mathews and Lassiter combined on the mound for the Braves.
Twins 4, Warriors 2
Joe Drew pitched five strong innings and held the United Bank Warriors to only two runs as the Church's Chicken Twins earned a 4-2 victory on May 28.
Drew also led the team on offense by scoring three runs. Dustin McGhee scored the teams other run.
Ladariel Grant and Blake Wilson scored for the Warriors.
Skylar Rolin pitched the complete game for the Warriors.
Athletics 15, Tigers 5
The First National Bank Athletics scored three runs in the first inning and never looked back as they buried the Rotary Club Tigers, 15-5, on May 29.
Lawrence Thomas led the A's with four runs. Jonathan McNeil scored three runs. Hunter Milliken scored two runs. Brent Bell, Nico Johnson, Ryan German, Blake Kirk, Josh Dorriety and Michael Hipa also scored.
Mitchell Brown led the Tigers with two runs. Gordon Nichols, Paul Howard and Trent Freeman also scored.
Thomas earned the victory on the mound for the A's.
Freeman and Corey Flowers pitched for the Tigers.
Cardinals 10, Twins 2
The Lions Club Cardinals scored six runs in the first to help elevate them to a 10-2 victory over the Church's Chicken Twins.
Stephen Yoder, Tyler Brown, Ryan Chason and Cody Norton led the Card offense with two runs each. Jordon Hastings and Jemorris Curry also scored.
The Twins' only two runs were scored by Matt McGhee and Kyle Chafin.
Norton pitched four innings for the Cards and was relieved by Ryan Chason.
McGhee and Elliot Faircloth combined on the mound for the Twins.
Braves 12, Athletics 4
The Atmore Insurance Braves slowed down the First National Bank Athletics with a 12-4 victory on May 31.
Leading the offense for the Braves was Tim Bright with three runs. Jeremy George, Anthony Mathews and Ben Hess scored two runs each. Michael Jones, Skyler Peacock and Tristen Neal also scored.
Jon McNeil scored two runs to lead the A's offense. Lawrence Thomas and Hunter Milliken scored the A's other two runs.
Thomas Wolfe pitched a complete game and earned the victory on the mound for the Braves.
McNeil, Demarcus Johnson and Hunter Milliken combined on the mound for the A's.
