Mrs. Julia Mae Jones, 83, of East Brewton, died Sunday, June 3, 2001, in a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Jones was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton. She was retired from The Box Factory at T. R. Miller Mill Co. and was a member of First United Methodist Church in East Brewton.
She is survived by a brother, Francis R. "Mr. B" Burgess of Atmore; two nephews, Richard Burgess and Mark Burgess, both of Atmore, and four nieces, Gloria Dawn Fowler of Atmore, Crystal Flippo and Heather Wharton, both of Wetumpka and Ada Ruth Johnston of East Brewton.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 6 at 2 p.m. at Craver's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Stutz, the Rev. David Taylor and Mr. Bruce Mantel officiating.
Burial will follow at Fort Crawford Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones' Sunday school class will be honorary pallbearers.
Craver's Funeral Home in Brewton is in charge of arrangements.
