Community gathers for Unity Day

Houston Avery Park was alive with entertainment, sports, fun and fellowship Saturday as residents turned out for Unity in the Community Day.
Concerned Citizens of Atmore promotes Unity Day as part of their mission "to strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation and race."
Olga Paige served as one of the organizers.
Events included the MLK Little League parade, baseball games, a basketball tournament, a puppet show by Assembly of God Church, tennis, a beautiful baby contest, and tons of door prizes.
Entertainment was provided by the New Pleasant Hill Praise Team, The Knight Singers, Holy Ghost Soldiers, El Bethel Angels of Praise, Delivery Ministries Praise Team, the Escambia County Middle School Inspirational Choir and The Thomas Singers.
