Mr. James Maurice Forte, 86, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at his residence.
Mr. Forte was a native of Monroe County and resident of Atmore. He was owner of Rikard Mill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Alma Jones Forte, and his wife, Aleene McKinzie Forte.
Mr. Forte is survived by two sisters, Mildred Shires of Montgomery and Mary Maude Owens of Fairhope, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Saturday, June 23 at 3 p.m. at Buena Vista Cemetery with Bro. Willie Crawford officiating.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
