Mr. James Otis Hayles Sr., 88, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of Lottie and member of Lottie United Methodist Church. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Hayles was preceded in death by his parents, David Columbus and Barbara Solomon Hayles, and his wife, Ruby Lucille Dean Hayles.
He is survived by a son, Jimmy Hayles Jr. and his wife Myna, of Orange Beach; three daughters, Shelby Morrison and her husband Bill of Lottie, Nelda Kennedy and her husband, John, of Montgomery and Sandra Weatherford and her husband, Jackie, of Greer, S. C.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 23 at 3 p.m. at Lottie United Methodist Church with Dr. John Brannon officiating.
Burial was at Lottie New Home Cemetery.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
