Mrs. Gussie E. Courtney, 80, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, in Glennville, Ga.
Mrs. Courtney was a native of Monroe County and former resident of Atmore and Escambia County for most of her life. She attended First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy C. Courtney.
Mrs. Courtney is survived by three sons, Roy Courtney of Cades, S. C., Guy Courtney of Birmingham and L. Colin Courtney of Port Oxford, Ore.; three daughters, Judy Lamb of Glennville, Hanano Courtney of Chickasaw and Tenna Vaughn of Bratt; 13 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Saturday, June 30 at 1 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Brown officiating.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
