Mr. William Edward Gibson, 84, of Walnut Hill, died Friday, June 6, 2001, in Milton.
He was a retired electrician and native of Atmore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest C. and Effie Roland Gipson; his wife, Wenona L. Gibson; two brothers, O. D. Gibson and Keener gibson; four sisters, Agnes Foster, Charlene Joiner, Vaden Mitchell and Lois Gibson.
Gibson is survived by a daughter, Sharon Omas of Ferndale, Mich. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 8 at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Robert Thrower officiating.
Burial followed at Walnut Hill Baptist Cemetery.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
