Erma Clyde "Gentry" Hayles

Mrs. Erma Clyde "Gentry" Hayles, 69, died Sunday, August 12, 2001, at a Mobile Hospital.
Hayles was a native of Little River and resident since 1982. She was a former resident of Chickasaw for 25 years. She was a former employee of Alabama Dry Docks, Olan Department Store and was owner/operator of Little River Trading Post and attended Little River Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Loree Phillips; stepfather, Charles E. Phillips and her father, Clyde Gentry.
Hayles is survived by her husband of 46 years, Clifford Len Hayles of Little River; two daughters, Catherine "Cathy" Pons and her husband, Greg, of Myrtle Beach, S. C. and Wanda Martin and her husband, Johnny, of Wolf Bay and four grandchildren, Becky Pons and Axl Pons, both of Myrtle Beach and Jarod Martin and Justin Martin, both of Wolf Bay.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 15 at 10 a.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Dean officiating.
Burial will follow at Mamie's Chapel Cemetery.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
