Mr. Thomas G. Gentry, 70, died Thursday, August 16, 2001, in Pensacola.
Gentry was a native of Frisco City and was retired from the U. S. Air Force and the State of Alabama Employment Service. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Ensley Masonic Lodge #278, Scottish-Rite of Pensacola, Zelica Grotto and Hedji Shrine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas N. and Mamie Lambert Gentry.
Gentry is survived by his wife, Doris Gentry; a daughter, Linda Madaris and her husband, Al; two grandchildren, Collin Madaris and his wife, Amy and Jessica LaDuke and her husband, Joe, and a sister, Louise Etheridge.
Funeral services were held Sunday, August 19 at 2:30 p.m. at Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Gilley officiating.
Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery with full Masonic Service.
Active pallbearers were Charles Stark, Elvin Pugh, Steve Pugh, Charles Lambert, Harvel Hanks and Dudley Gunter. Honorary pallbearers were the Brotherhood of Oak Grove Church and the Masonic fraternity.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
