A.C. Moore Elementary School has two new teachers and a new assistant principal this year.
Kathy Hendrix came to Atmore from the Atlanta area. Her family moved here when her husband accepted the position as minister of music at First Baptist Church.
Hendrix has been in education for 23 years and has taught grades four through eight. She's teaching fourth grade at ACM.
Hendrix gives the faculty an A+ for their support and assistance.
Julie Jordan is in her fourth year in education. She lives in Flomaton and previously taught at Century Elementary School.
She has taught grades two through five and has third grade this year.
Florastine Howard was in the classroom for 27 years before moving to a central office position. She was there for two years, then served as assistant principal at Escambia County Middle School for two years.
She's usually referred to simply as the ACM assistant principal, but her full title is supervisor of science assigned to A.C. Moore as assistant principal.
