Mr. Hartwood Oliver McMillan, 60, died Wednesday, August 22, 2001, in Jay.
McMillan was a native of Pineview and resident of Atmore for the past 30 years. He attended Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Garvin McMillan and his two sisters, Ruthie Smith and Irene Willis.
McMillan is survived by his wife, Frances McMillan of Atmore; three sons, Hartwood James William McMillan, Houston Oliver McMillan and Hartwood Oliver McMillan II, all of Atmore; two daughters, Debra Ann Etheridge of Evergreen amd Linda Lashell McMillan of Robertsdale; two brothers, Franklin Delford McMillan of Calahan, Fla. and Herman Joseph McMillan of Excel; a sister, Mary Eunice English of Flomaton; fourteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 24 at 2 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. James Johnson, the Rev. Leo Kent, and the Rev. Doug Odom officiating.
Burial followed at Traveler's Rest Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Robert Moye, Gerald Steege, James English, Kenny Townson, Donnie Vinson and Joe Lambeth.
Eastside Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
