Jackie Aydelott

Mrs. Jackie Aydelott, 61, died Thursday, October 25, 2001, in a Pensacola hospital.
Mrs Aydelott was a native and life long resident of Flomaton where she served as Director of the Escambia County (AL) Retired &Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) for over 19 years. Mrs. Aydelott also served on the Board of The American Red Cross, Escambia County American Cancer Society Tel-A-Friend Project, and South Alabama Regional Planning Committee, Community Action Agency, HEADSTART, OHR Multidisciplinary Team and was one of the founding members of the Coalition for a Healthier Escambia County and the Escambia County Tax Counseling for the Elderly Program (TCE)
Mrs. Aydelott served as President and in numerous offices of the Alabama Association of Retired Senior Volunteer Program Directors, Inc. (AANSYP, lnc. ) Delegate for the Southern Cluster of RSYP Directors. She also served on several state committees as a representative for the senior citizens of Alabama. Mrs. Aydelott spent her life serving others and helping to find solutions to ease the socio-economic problems in Escambia County and in Alabama
Mrs. Aydelott is survived by her husband, William Aydelott of Flomaton; two sons, Randy (Sharon) Aydelott of Pensacola and Steven (Laurie) Aydelott of Perry, Ga.; one daughter, Dana Leigh Aydelott of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Margie Maness of Flomaton and Betty Flynn of Mobile; two very special grandchildren, Brandon Aydelott of Pensacola and Jenna Rose Aydelott of Perry, Ga.; a special brother, Sammy White; a special niece, Judy Strait and a number of special friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 28, at 2 p. m, at Flomaton Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Leon Stewart, the Rev. Homer Stewart, and the Rev. Jerry Keener officiating.
Burial followed at Rock Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Mitch White, Larry White, Mike Brown, Robert Bolt, Quinn Miller, and Bobby Florie. Honorary Pallbearers were Winford Jordan, James Holt, Hayward Rowland, Danny Holt, and Bernie White.

Flomaton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
