Mr. Willie Louis Hudson, 62, of Atmore died Thursday, October 25, 2001, suddenly at his residence.
He was a native of Monroe County and resident of Atmore most of his life. He was a member of Mt. Gillead Baptist Church in Freemanville and has worked as a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Victoria Hudson; his father, Willie Hudson and a sister, Mary Lee McCoy.
Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lean Hudson of Atmore; five daughters, Hattie Brown and her husband, Jimmy, Joann Brown and Contina Brown, all of Atmore, Brenda Allen and her husband, Elton, of San Francisco, Calif. and Gloria Jean Dixon and her husband, John Earl, of Dixon Mills; two sons, Willie James Hudson and his wife, Annette, of Atmore and Anthony Bullard and his wife, Margaret, of Brewton; four sisters, Minnie Hudson of Atmore, Willie Mae Hudson of Frisco City, Claudie Pepper of Mobile and Barbara Dishman and her husband, John, of Gary, Ind.; four brothers, Sammie Hudson and his wife, Margaret, Cecil Hudson and his wife, Jerlynne; James Hudson and his wife, Alberta and David Hudson and his wife, Tina, all of Atmore; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, October 2, from 1 to 8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, November 3, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Gillead Baptist Church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Mackey Branch Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were friends if the family.
