Local authorities and the FBI were notified when a suspicious package was delivered to Escambia County Middle School this week.
Atmore Assistant Police Chief Donnie Nunley said the box of Frito Lay nachos was dropped off by a local delivery man Monday. The police department was notified Tuesday morning when administration was told the package had white powder on it.
Nunley said that Wiggins had secured the package prior to the arrival of other officers.
The Frito Lay company was notified and questioned as to whether they had experienced similar occurrences.
FBI agents advised Nunley that a residue sometimes is left during the packaging process.
